Tips for a stronger listing

A few things that reliably help captains get more bookings.

Lead with real photos

Your cover photo and gallery are the first thing guests judge a listing on. Clear, well-lit photos of your actual boat outperform stock images every time.

Fill out your captain profile

Add a bio, your years of experience, your specialties and a few photos of the fish you've caught. Guests are booking a person as much as a boat.

Respond quickly

Fast replies to booking requests and messages build trust and show up as a response badge on your listings.

Keep your calendar current

Block out dates you can't run so guests only ever see days you can actually take them out.

Get the specs right

Accurate capacity, duration, amenities and trip details help the right guests find your boat and book with confidence.

Every trip gets a 30-minute buffer

Guests can't book a time within 30 minutes of one of your other trips, in either direction, enough room to get back to the dock, reset, and load the next group. This is automatic, based on your listing's trip duration, so there's nothing you need to set up yourself.
